Shoredale Farm is a family run hobby farm. Our aim is to provide instruction to our children while providing quality pets and livestock to the public, friends, and family. Our aim is to do this ethically and legally for the mutual benefit of all including the society in general. We believe we are doing things right in our breeding and raising of quality Goldendoole pups and are willing to accept critique for improvement, but in the light of unethical practices in puppy breeding and selling (referred to as “puppy mills”) we have constructed a contract agreement to help ensure these puppies, if they leave your care, do not find themselves abused in unethical breeding practices. The following is a contract agreement which reflects our desires to maintain a professional and ethical breeding standard.
Puppy Contract
PUPPY QUALITY/HEALTH
Buyer agrees that the dog described (Subject) is fully satisfactory at time of purchase. Buyer agrees to have this dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 1 week of the date of purchase. If the dog is found to be unhealthy, it may be returned within 48 hours after vet exam, at the buyer’s expense, with written diagnosis from a licensed vet. Seller will replace puppy with a comparable quality puppy or refund purchase price. Seller is NOT responsible for any vet bills incurred by buyer. Seller is not responsible for any injuries to dog after buyer takes possession of the animal. Buyer agrees to care for the dog by providing a securely fenced yard or kennel run with adequate shade and shelter.
PUPPY RETURN
Buyer agrees that if they are unable to care for this dog at any time, Buyer will RETURN the dog to the Seller, at NO COST to the Seller. If the dog is returned to the seller, except as stipulated above, NO REFUND will be given to Buyer.
PUPPY SALES
It is the intention of the Seller the puppy be sold to its, “forever-home,” therefore, Buyer may not give or sell the dog to anyone else outside of Buyer’s family, including Goldendoodle rescue groups or animal shelters.
PUPPY REPRODUCTION
Buyer agrees to spay or neuter puppy. (It is the RECOMMENDATION of the Seller the puppy be at least 12 to 18 months of age for the long-term health of the dog.) The intentional breeding of the dog will be a breach of this contract.
